Coaching Skills

This one-day bootcamp is designed to equip leaders and managers with the fundamental skills to adopt a coaching approach in their leadership.

In this intensive program, you'll leverage the award-winning Science Behind Success™ model on how to shift from a directive style of leadership to a coach-like approach. You'll explore the fundamental coaching skills that inspire and accelerate growth and development.

In this workshop, you'll learn how to:

  1. Understand the Coaching Mindset: Learn the difference between old-school managerial approaches and a coaching approach. Understand the benefits of adopting a coaching mindset and how it can enhance team performance and individual growth.
  2. Master the Art of Powerful Questions: Better performance from your team comes through better questions. You’ll learn which questions to avoid and you’ll discover how to ask open-ended, thought-provoking questions that encourage self-reflection, discovery and inspired action.
  3. Develop Active Listening Skills: You don’t need to learn how to listen, but where you focus your attention matters most. Learn how to listen not just to what is being said, but also to what is not being said. Develop the ability to pick up on non-verbal cues and to provide responses that create impact.
  4. Provide Constructive Feedback: Learn how to provide feedback in a way that is constructive, specific, and inspiring. Understand the importance of balancing confirmation feedback with areas for improvement.
  5. Create a Coaching Plan: Develop the skills to create a coaching plan for your team members. Learn how to leverage a proven model for robust coaching discussions that work.
Adopt a coaching approach

By the end of this bootcamp, you'll be equipped with the tools and techniques to adopt a coaching approach in your leadership. You'll be able to foster a culture of continuous learning and development, empowering your team members to maximize their full potential. Participants will also receive an individual coaching session to focus on a specific coaching topic.
